On July 6, 2004, Sister Rosalyn Lomack attended the 60th Annual Holy Convocation in Columbia, South Carolina. On July 8, 2004 she shared her events leading up to her frustration in her search for church without compromise and one that stood for the truth and on the word of God. It was through her testimony and meeting with Bishop Priester when Sister Lomack realized that Progressive was the church for her. On Sunday, July 11, 2004, Sister Lomack and her daughter announced their membership and joined Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Shortly after the end of convocation, Bishop Priester began a work of the Lord in California. On Sunday August 1, 2004 Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of California held their first service in the living room in the Lomack residence – watching pre-recorded services and conducting service as usual. Every three weeks; thereafter, Bishop Lang Priester journeyed from Charlotte, North Carolina to California to administer and teach the word of God to all that were present for about a year.
On October 2004 Minister Sweetie Tagata and his family announced their membership and joined Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Fairfield, California. On February 27, 2005, Minister Tagata began delivering live and anointed messages from God. Before long, Elder Charles Williams and his wife announced their membership and joined in June of 2005. Soon, the newly founded church began to grow and moved to and from many locations before moving to our current location at 1102 Missouri Street in Fairfield, California.
On July 7, 2007, Minister Sweetie Tagata was ordained and installed as Pastor of Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Fairfield, California. Currently, both Pastor Sweetie Tagata and Elder Charles Williams are the faithful leaders and servants of Progressive Church at Fairfield.
